Through its academic programs, North Park seeks to develop students,
faculty, and staff for sharing in Christ's ministry:
- by
encountering one another in the practice of a mature Christian
life
- by
nurturing the whole person in the context of a worshipping, caring
community
- by
training students for ministry in all its diversity
This will include preparing them
:
- to
articulate the gospel clearly and in love
- to
live and work under Scripture's authority
- to
communicate what is valuable for the present and future from our
Christian heritage
- to exercise creatively and skillfully gifts suitable for the edification
and extension of Christ's church.
Academic studies are organized into five major fields: biblical,
historical, theological, ministerial, and spiritual formation.
Studies in each of these fields are designed to acquaint the student
with the basic ideas, materials, and resources that are foundational
to an informed, dedicated, and relevant ministry.
North Park Theological Seminary offers both degree and non-degree
programs of study that have been designed to accomplish the goals
of the school. There are five different degree programs, and variations
are possible within most.
