CHICAGO, IL (July 13, 2009) – A total of five North Park softball players earned Academic All-Conference honors in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin for the 2009 season.
Senior Stacey Ernvall (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores), juniors Sara Dwight (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Minnehaha) and Jessica Abezetian (Park Ridge, Ill./Maine South) as well as sophomores Beth and Kate Seebacher (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) earned the academic honors. Dwight was also the recipient of the Jack Swartz Academic Award.
To qualify for Academic All-Conference, each student-athlete must have an overall grade point average of 3.30 or above and must have lettered in the sport for that season. Transfer students and freshmen are also eligible for this award. The Jack Swartz award is determined on a student-athlete who has an overall grade point average of 3.50 or above and must have lettered in the sport for that season. Transfer students and freshmen were also eligible for this award.
